FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol".


FTP is:-
  • a simple network protocol based on Internet Protocol
  • a method which can be used by IP security cameras to transfer images from the camera to storage
  • allows servers to be located anywhere
  • allows servers to transfer files between two computers on the Internet
  • can be used for storing images at home
