HTML stands for "HyperText Markup Language".


HTML is:-
  • the markup language for web pages
  • the basic building-blocks of web pages
  • written in the form of HTML elements(eg. forming the building blocks of all website)
  • allows images and objects to be embedded
  • used to create interactive forms
